i need to vent.. first of all, let me say that i have been a jw for 10 or so years.
when i started "studying" i was younger had many friends and a loving family.

These are obviously not friends of yours. They are typical JWs (not all but most) A TRUE friend would feel love for you and have your best interests at heart. They are only seeking to punish.

just thinking out loud here.... when i was 19 and df'd for being pregnant (yes they knew i was repentant but told me i was to be used as an example), i ended up with no friends.. when i was 20, some four months later, and i was reinstated before my daughter was born, i thought for sure everything would be fine.
after all, hadn't i been reinstated?
wasn't i a valued member of the congregation?.

do you remember those truly wonderful occasions when the meeting was in full swing, and something/one would make you laugh uncontrollably............so much so that you had to go out.
(and yes, your were sat on the front row!
you would go out and feel terribly guilty, and when you thought you were under control, you would venture back in only to find that the air was still full of laughter (on your row)..............truly wonderful meetings!!

for reminding me that there are sincere and good hearted people (although misguided) in the borg. I suppose there are sincere leaders out there that really love their con and try to do whats best for them too. Its been 25 years since I have been to a meeting and I only remember them as long and soooooo boring.
All the hurt and anger I feel about the WTS seems to shaddow everything I read or hear. I must try to be more objective.

I am also sorry your thread regressed to this. I couldn't tell you in my last post. Somehow it would have put a dark cloud over what I want to say to you. There are many sincere people who post at this sight who will support you and try to help through this.

Now I completely understand what apostates are all about.(are ya sure? An apostate, in the eyes of the WT society, is simply someone who has a different opinion than they do.If they are so right and God is on their side, how could the words of anyone who disagrees with them hurt them? Think about it!)
1) The truth hurts you so much. (Yes, what you perport to be the "truth" has hurt me very much. I saw it distroy my family. I've seen it distroy other peoples lives too. The people who post here are strong individuals and have survived the hurt your man made religion has delt out. I've learned so much from them and could never thank them enough)
2) You read into everything and expect people to believe you yet you do not believe others (but I did believe at one time so long ago. Then my heart was broken by the men who were supposed to be the loving shepperds of the flock. They didn't know the meaning of the word love. They taught me the meaning of the word "distrust".)
3) Misery LOVES company (I'd rather keep misery as my pal then have anything to do with your cult and their empty promises)
4) You seem to be FULL of hate (I don't hate you. I do hate the things taught by your cult. They do it with such polish too.)
6) You cannot forgive ( No one has asked for forgiveness. They think all the shunning and hurtful things they have done are perfectly all right to do.)
7) You have lost sight of what is important (I can say the same about you!)
8) You bite the hand that feeds you (That is your opinion. Are you also an apostate?)
13) Your hatred filters through the pages of this site so strongly it is impossible to reason with you! (and so does yours! And I have already learned it is IMPOSSIBLE to try to reason with you JWs too.
14) Please get help! (I did! I was helped to break free of the deathgrip the borg has on it's followers and I want to thank all those that helped me.)
I haven't answered all your little numbered sentences because they didn't all apply to me and I really don't care if you read or respond to them. I figuer you have enough misery of your own. You sound like all the rest of the self righteous witnesses I have known in my lifetime. If living in a paradise earth means living with people such as you I'd rather perish with the rest of the sinners.

ok, so i moved out on saturday.
i am not 18 for 17 more days but my mom asked me to leave early all the same.
on friday things got hairy, we had jw friends from out of town visiting, and i exploded.

I have no insight into your family situation. All my children are grown and I and them haven't been in the borg for years. There are many here that have had experience with this problem. Go to the main and start a threat and you will get lots of advise.

well, i went back to the area of my old congregation yesterday.
my daughter's best friend amanda was getting married, and despite my trepidation, amanda had begged me to show up and to dance a dance with her.
my trepidation was twofold; first, my ex-wife was going to be there, and after our messy divorce only six months ago, i had no desire to be anywhere where she was.

I remember saying that I had wasted the best years of my life on my exhusband until a true friend woke me up to the fact that those were obviously NOT my best years. My best years are NOW. I have spent the last 20 years in the arms of the most wonderful man there is, my present husband.

in truth, the bible advanced women's rights in the ancient world, even in a paternalistic society.
